Ride to Farm Raises Funds for Beginning Farmers

Posted June 2014

Thank you to everyone who rode in, or contributed to, Ride to Farm on May 31! 73 riders (the most we’ve ever had) pedaled 60 miles through the hills and valleys of Iowa County to raise funds for the Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy and Livestock Farmers. The ride included two gorgeous farm stops at Uplands Cheese and Cates Family Farm. Our riders raised over $15,000 for student scholarships and interships, honoraria for farmer instructors and long-term support for the school.

Our top 2014 fundraisers included:

Individual: Merle Richter, Bloomer, WI

Friends and family teams:
1st place: Thought for Food
2nd place: Thistle and Star

Business team:
