Powering Your Plate: A Renewable Farm Tour

Date: May 20-21, 2016

Location: Central Rivers Farmshed

Posted May 2016

Thinking about how renewable energy could help power your farm? Join Central Rivers Farmshed, Golden Sands RC&D, Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), and North Wind Renewable Energy on a tour of Central Wisconsin farms that employ renewable systems to lower their impact on the environment and help their bottom line. In addition to highlighting their renewable energy systems, each farmer will provide a tour of the farm and an overview of their production methods. The farm tour is part of Point Back to the Land, a series of weekend trips and tours highlighting sustainable farms, homes, and activities in the Stevens Point Area.

Registration is required, and the event is limited to 50 participants. Visit the event website for registration, cost information and the event itinerary.
