“Harvest Medley” Takes Farm to School to a New Level

Farm to school is getting a whole lot easier in Wisconsin. CIAS staff member Sara Tedeschi helped develop Wisconsin Harvest Medley Blends, which are chopped Wisconsin root vegetables ready for school food services to roast and serve. Processing and distribution partners include Fifth Season Cooperative in Viroqua and Maglio and Company in Viroqua.The project is funded through USDA’s Wisconsin Specialty Crop Block Grant program.
