The Dane County Food Council and Dane County UW Extension, with the help of other community partners, will host the 2014 Food Summit on October 24 in celebration of national Food Day. This event will focus on locally-achievable change, partnerships and innovations within Dane County for building a fair and sustainable food system, as well as examining how to build equity and justice into all that we do.

The Food Summit reaches a wide audience of farmers, activists, restaurateurs, community gardeners, educators, processors, entrepreneurs and community organizations engaged in building a sustainable and equitable local food system. The Food Summit will feature a morning panel of notable speakers, small group problem-solving discussion sessions, and a lunch featuring delicious local food.
