CIAS Barn Dance was a Success

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the CIAS 25th Anniversary Barn Dance on June 27 at Schuster’s Farm near Deerfield. About 175 people enjoyed music, dancing, local food, a silent auction and unequaled camaraderie at this event.

This was a mulit-generational gathering including members of our inaugural Citizens Advisory Council, CIAS directors from past and present years, old and new friends, and lots of students. Some of our supporters drove hundreds of miles to the dance, while a group of students organized a “bike pool” from Madison to Schuster’s Farm.

Thirsty Roots, which includes CIAS Director Mike Bell and several other members of the award-winning class-grass ensemble Graminy, provided the music for traditional and contra dances called by Roger Diggle.
