Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy and Livestock Farmers
The school begins in November, 2008. For full scholarship consideration, applications must be received by April 1, 2008. The program will continue to accept applications until October 1, however, if there are vacancies remaining. For more information, contact Dick Cates: rlcates@wisc.edu.

Includes sessions on economic considerations in grazing, agronomics, soil fertility, pasture monitoring and grazing systems layout and design. Registration fee: $75 per person ($35 for second person from same farm). Includes meals. Fond du Lac school is one day only and cost is $35. 2008 Workshop Series at Michael Fields
Michael Fields Agricultural Institute has announced a broad offering of interactive workshops and on-site field trainings for 2008. Many of the workshops are held at the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute in East Troy. Others are held on farms. Profitable Pastures Field Day
The UW-Madison Lancaster Ag Research Station will host its 7th annual Profitable Pastures Field Day from 10am-3:30pm on August 10th. Kicking off the field day will be an interactive producer discussion of 'Getting Through the Summer Slump.' Cost: $10, including lunch.
